Does it cost me to use the service?

No, if you are a person requiring any of our Trades or Service people just look up the relevant member and contact him/her direct.  There are no commissions or extra charges paid to Tradesmen You Can Trust, so you can be sure the quote is as fair as possible.

How do I pay him?

Our member is in business for himself, so you pay him direct.  All Tradesmen You Can Trust members are committed to do a good job for a fair price.

How do I know they are any good?

All our members are screened prior to being invited to join Tradesmen You Can Trust.  They must have Public Liability Insurance and if applicable, a gold card. All trade and service businesses are asked to supply references before being invited to join Tradesmen You Can Trust.
We ring and ask that person if the member is reliable, honest, pleasant and of course, is their work of a high standard. If the answers are positive the person is then offered a membership.

Will I get a free quote?

Yes, most times.  Tradesmen You Can Trust members understand the value of offering their services.
Sometimes though, work, for example, appliance repairs, can take as long to find the fault as it does to fix it, this is why there is sometimes a callout fee. Check with each member when first contacting.
Tradesmen You Can Trust asks that you be fair and not waste time by asking for quotes just to try and reduce another quote you have received . Sometimes quotes take a lot of time to prepare, time is money. If consumers want tradesmen they can trust, we feel they should also be clients our members can trust.

Are they the cheapest?

Usually not.  Each business in Tradesmen You Can Trust has often made a name for themselves by offering quality service at a fair price. For him to offer this level of service there are ongoing costs. While he mightn't be the cheapest you will know you will get a reliable, quality job with good service as opposed to a dodgy "fly-by-nighter" that can leave you with more than a bad taste in your mouth!
